Forming an ideal combination with our HDMI™ standard digital AV interface cables The VDH HDMI and The VDH HDMI HQ HYBRID, the van den Hul HDMI to DVI adapter accepts an HDMI cable’s male connector and turns it into a DVI-D male connection. The adapter thus enables HDMI™-capable sources to connect to DVI-capable displays and other DVI input equipment.
Since HDMI™ is backward compatible with DVI, the adapter allows trouble-free display at all your DVI-D input device’s available video resolution modes. The adapter’s high quality design furthermore ensures excellent performance without loss of video quality.

Remarks:
Since the DVI standard does not include audio, separate audio connections need to be made when required.
Furthermore, the HDMI™ standard-specific advanced features, like digital audio and consumer electronics control (used to pass control commands between equipment), are not available when converting to DVI. The DVI standard does not have these features implemented.
